The socially, economically & educationally backward SC population has no opportunity to take admission in distant colleges to continue their higher studies. Moreover, their parents are unable to afford high paid coaching centers for their intellectual development.

The alumni of this institution have been employed in different Govt., Non-Govt. Public and corporate Sectors. Some of the have been engaged in social activities, in politics and business. This baby institution has grown in to a towering one and it stands to fulfill the dreams of the students to get self employed. It mostly emphasizes to fulfill the ambition for higher education of hundreds of young women to work on-par with their male counterparts in the field of higher education and provide their ability and competency in the competitive job arena.

The college has a large play ground encroaching 10 acres of land, 8 acres of campus area and a fresh water pond of 5 acres. Under UGC assistant college is going to construct an outdoor football field and a gymnasium. One boy’s hostel for Sc & ST students (20 boarders & Women’s hostel of 30 boarders) is not sufficient to accommodate limited number of students.

Considering the infrastructural aspects of this institution, it does not have adequate well furnished classrooms, laboratories, library, student common room (Girl’s & Boy’s) and auditorium. The existing laboratories are far behind the expected quality. The library does not have sufficient books, journals, magazine and reference books to cater to the requirement of students and teachers. Due to lack of funds college is unable to provide update information and facilities to students to upgrade their knowledge. The panacea to all these infrastructural ailments is sufficient financial assistance from the state Govt. and other external source.

Considering the rising demand for admission to degree courses the institution plan to enhance the admission strength in honours and pass subjects in science and commerce stream. To ensure employability it has been proposed to open job oriented courses exclusively for women like Garment Design & manufacturing, Nursing, Food Preservation & processing, Child care, Interior decoration, Retail Management, Aquaculture, Diploma course in designing , Environmental biology and teacher training programmee. The college needs to strengthen laboratory facilities, library facilities, sports facilities and remedial classes for students in general and women in particular. The laboratory facilities to be improved for science students. The graduates should be provided with different vocational training entrepreneurship development.
